I love the Nespresso system, it takes the guess work out of making great espresso and tastes fantastic. This system is so fail-proof my 8 year-old begs to make my morning cup.
There is virtually no maintenance, and its the best tasting expresso I've had at home. I just received this Nespresso C100 with milk frother for my birthday. Update: I've tried unsuccessfully to purchase coffee pods on Nespresso's website (the ONLY source for them in the US) and the usability on the site is horrendous- making the customer jump through many hoops before letting us have the privilege of purchasing their coffee. I've had 4 expresso makers over the years but I haven't used them past the first week because the effort required to make drinks and maintain the machine. This machine is so easy to use, my 6 year old is now the official barista- making expressos, cappuccinos and lattes on his own. Ultimately, I wasn't able to purchase additional coffee pods due to the cryptic "error 320" which I was asked to report to the company. Its sad that the maker of such a great product is so backwards with their website.
I'd like to order it but not sure about the voltage it supports. Any comments. Thanks.
This is the best tasting and most efficient coffee maker I have ever owned. The only issue we have had is with the Aeroccino milk frother. There are obviously issues with this machine as we have now had 2 fail on us and judging my other online comments this is a common occurance. It is a shame the unreliable Aeroccino takes away from an otherwise perfect Expresso and Coffeemaker.
Let me start by saying that I really don't drink coffee. I've read all the complaints about the cost of the pods and the complaints about getting "trapped into a system", but truth be told for my purposes that's not really an issue. It is easy to use and the cleanup is not a problem.
Though I don't drink coffee, I do have friends that do and I wanted to be able to have something available when entertaining. The pod system makes offering a variety of choices possible without a lot of waste (save the capsule itself). But, that's part of the reason I ended up getting this machine.
The frother works reasonably well (though it works best when you make limited quantities of milk or foam). I used to have a manual espresso machine but then I had to have bags of coffee around that I didn't use and it was a bit of a mess to clean up and set up. So, I decided to try the Nespresso machine.
Even the coffee-snobbiest of my friends says it makes great coffee and this machine was reasonably priced. The single serve process fits my needs quite well.
